KHS&S was entrusted with portions of the interior and exterior scope of work on the newly constructed Hawaiian Gardens Casino. The overall program for the new casino includes a gaming and entertainment experience. The155,000-square-foot main level includes 300 tables, a high limit gaming lounge, multiple food and beverage outlets and back of house amenities. The second-floor shell space of 50,000 square feet is dedicated to poker tournaments, banquets and conferences. In order to prevent any downtime in the casino operations, the project was master-planned to preserve access to the existing facility during construction. Construction was completed in phases allowing a seamless transition from the existing building to the new facility.
Designed as a fusion of the Hawaiian architectural and tropical, the new casino provides patrons with unique gaming experience. The exterior site features include structural steel with a plaster and stone exterior and contemporary Hawaiian architectural detailing that is carried to the interior of the building through the use of high-end finishes and faux wood motifs.
KHS&S scope of work was: interior Metal Stud Framing & Drywall, Interior & Exterior Faux Wood Finishes, exterior Porte Cochere (Ceiling / Soffit Framing & Sheathing), Building Thermal & Acoustic Insulation, Edge of Slab & Head of Wall Firestopping, & FRP Paneling.
