Who We Are

The Constant Pursuit to do Everything Better

KHS&S is transforming construction from a field-based industry to an industry of digital modeling, virtual project delivery, prefabrication and Lean manufacturing. We are defined by a core purpose and set of values that drives us to not be defined by others, but rather forge our own path into the future.

History

Pioneers in Construction Since 1996

KHS&S was founded in 1984 as a regional wall and ceiling contractor and enjoyed a decade of steady growth amidst the expansion of Walt Disney World, EPCOT Center and the exploding economy of Central Florida. In 1996, the company expanded westward to California and Nevada, beginning the company’s rapid ascent to becoming one of the largest specialty contractors in the United States and the international leader in themed construction.

Safety

An Unwavering Commitment to a Culture of Safety

Safety is a core value at KHS&S. Our commitment is demonstrated in our ongoing development of comprehensive programs that include training and development, safety inspections, safety incentives and daily job walks. Every KHS&S safety program has the single goal of sending workers home safely every night.

KHS&S Safety System

The KHS&S Safety System offers guidance to a safe work environment, while providing direction to a compliant workplace. This system hinges on three main pillars, Management Support, Safety Training & Education, and Involvement. It also reviews in field Hazard Recognition, Hazard Control and Stop Work Authority.

  • Management Support
  • Training & Education
  • Involvement
  • Hazard Recognition
  • Management Support

Management sets a strategic vision and production targets that encourage growth and profitability, while simultaneously valuing worker safety and health throughout the organization.

  • Training & Education

The company maintains and supports a program to educate and familiarize employees with rules, safety & health procedures, and safe work practices.

  • Involvement

Active involvement is essential to an effective safety program. We promote and encourage employee participation in creating a safe work enviornment for our company and trade partners.

  • Hazard Recognition

Hazard recognition and control is imporant to us in the field. All individuals have authority and obligation to stop any task or operation when the control of health, safety, and/or enviornmental risk is not clearly established or understood.
